Kino - with painted hair and hand painted eyes
uses a Excellent B body
I used Liquitex paints
and a acrylic medium -- specifically - Liquitex Light
Modeling Paste. I was Very pleased with how the hair turned
out. I mixed quite alot of
paint ... which stayed wet for a very long time once I added
the Light Modeling Paste to it. I laid in one coat and then
laid in other coats of paint to get more volume once the
bottom layer began to dry. I tried a couple different items
to drag lines into the paint... I ended up liking the tooth
pic the best. I found that it was better to clean up a
mistake before it dried... although I did manage to fix some
of the problem areas (thankfully - there was NO staining
from the orange Liquitex paint :-} it was not easy ... and I
worried about the paint cracking or breaking. I do not want
to find out HOW fragile her hair is. I treat her head very
delicately.
